Short version: What we repeatedly focus on becomes the “channel” we live inside. When we notice the loop and shift our attention—gently, honestly, without toxic positivity—we change what shows up next.
Previously on Eccentric Realizations: Frequency, Vibration & Mental Health
In my last post, I explored how frequency and vibration shape everyday life—both spiritually and practically. I shared about seasons when optimism came easily, and others when depression made everything feel heavy and self-reinforcing.
The point wasn’t “just be positive.” It was this: emotions are valid, thoughts aren’t facts, and mindful awareness allows us to shift our state without faking it.

Today’s Focus: Reprogramming Reality
Think of your mind like a TV with a thousand channels. The remote is your attention. Whatever channel you linger on long enough becomes your soundtrack, your cast, your plot. Over time, that focus hardens into loops—patterns of thoughts, emotions, people, and choices that repeat because we keep watching the same show.
This isn’t magical thinking—it’s pattern thinking. The brain saves energy by repeating familiar pathways. The good news? Loops can be edited. We don’t need to bulldoze our emotions or plaster on a fake smile. We just need a compassionate way to notice what we’re tuned to—and then choose again.
Since moving back to Missouri, I’ve been focusing on raising my frequency and staying rooted in more positive channels. Honestly, medication has helped make this possible—and there’s nothing wrong with that. Sometimes, the most powerful form of self-love is getting the right support for our mental and emotional health.
What I’ve realized is that toxic positivity doesn’t help because it skips over awareness. You can’t change the channel if you don’t even realize what you’re watching. I’ve noticed the patterns in myself and in my family: constant complaints without action, then confusion when nothing changes. That’s what being stuck on one channel looks like.
Now, I’m working on shifting my own channel. When I stop feeding loops of negativity, complaining, and fear, I notice the difference. Thoughts, emotions, and words all have power. Thoughts aren’t facts, emotions are valid, and words reinforce the direction of both. Together, they determine which “channel” of reality we receive back.
This is where manifestation comes in—not as a magical lottery ticket, but as opportunities that show up based on our focus. It’s not just what we think or wish for, but the choices we make once those opportunities appear. That’s how reality gets built: thoughts create the blueprint, words give it structure, and emotions fuel it into form.
I won’t pretend it’s easy. I spent years on autopilot, and only recently realized how much being on the right medication revealed just how unhealthy that autopilot was. But stepping off it—limiting toxic relationships, removing negativity—has changed everything. Life isn’t perfect, but it’s better than I could have imagined.
Tie-In: From Vibration to Attention
If the last post was about state (frequency and vibration), today’s is about the steering wheel (attention). Our state influences what we notice; our attention decides what we build. When we meet our emotions honestly and gently shift our focus, the “signal” clears—and the next scene of our life begins to change.
