I'm back and hopefully back to my usual routine starting today. I'm a person of habit and I like having a routine. However, this month has thrown me a curve ball. If I'm correct it has been two weeks since my last post. The reason for one week was a family function that disrupted my groove. Since then it's all been downhill from there.
I haven't done many surveys, played on my switch, watched much tv, or post here like I usually do. The only consistent thing has been cleaning the bathroom, shaving, showering, and going to sleep and waking up around my usual time. We are almost to a new month and today I figured it's a new day, a fresh start, and a new week. With all that in mind I'm working on getting back into my routine. I'm done pushing it off until the next day or the next week even and adding some things to my routine.
In health related news I lost 11.4 pounds since last month when I saw the doctor and found that I lost 8 pounds. I had an appointment with an orthopedist about my leg and found that I have meralgia paresthetica and the only solution to improve it is further weight loss. So, since my insurance pays for a gym membership I set it up this last week.
Blood sugar has been improving since the doctor prescribed Farxiga. I'm not craving sugar as much and craving more vegetables. While I'm still struggling with my glucose numbers I'm having to be mindful of the amount of food and sugars I intake. Today has been the roughest keeping my numbers down.
When it comes to routines and getting off track, it may feel good to forgo the routine at times. You get to a point like I have where you just have to sort of force yourself to start a new. Especially if you find yourself struggling to get back to it. Starting this week I'll be adding the gym to my routine. Three days a week every other day except for the weekend. Today I did my routine of shaving, cleaning the bathroom, and showering. I know this post is done later than I usually do but I'm back at it. Tomorrow I'll play my switch, do some surveys, and try to get some coloring in this week as well. I'm looking forward to going to the gym and working on my weight even more. Going to try and make sure I don't encounter burnout. It was mentioned that is probably what happened this month the reason my routine went awry. Being productive feels good and sometimes taking a break and being lazy is needed but I remind myself that I'll feel better and more accomplished if I get back into my routine.
