From Soda to Self-Discovery: Building a Life of Health, Purpose, and Free Thinking

From Soda to Self-Discovery: Building a Life of Health, Purpose, and Free Thinking
Life rarely unfolds in neat, linear lines. It comes in ebbs, flows, and sometimes in restless nights followed by early morning coffee with my grandma. This week reminded me how healing is not about perfection, but about persistence — staying with the journey even when it feels messy or slow.

🩺 Health Reflections

I’ve recently increased my biotics dosage, and my system is still learning how to adjust to the higher amount. It’s a reminder that healing shifts don’t happen overnight — our bodies need time to adapt.

Another hard truth landed: for months, I was drinking nearly 10 gallons of soda a month. That realization hit like a gut punch, because it explains so much of the digestive imbalance I’ve been battling. Cutting back has already lightened the load on my body. Healing isn’t just about adding new routines, but also releasing the habits that quietly do the most damage.

🌑 Shadow Work & Inner Growth

This week’s reflections circled back to the importance of facing discomfort. Shadow work often feels like standing at the edge of a mirror — seeing what you’d rather avoid, but knowing that’s where truth lives. I realized I’ve been carrying beliefs that whisper “you’re not enough” whenever I slow down. Naming that voice for what it is — old, unhelpful conditioning — makes it lose power.

🌸 Personal Notes

Beyond the internal work, small moments carried weight. Sharing early morning coffee with my grandma pulled me out of fatigue and reminded me that connection often nourishes more than sleep. Archiving chats, simplifying my digital space, and choosing rest when I could — all these little actions add up.

More importantly, I’ve been leaning into living intentionally. That means buying items that reflect my values and beliefs whenever possible, and extending that same intention into my digital life. It’s also meant asking bigger questions: How do I want to live my life? What impact do I want to leave? As the author of my reality, how do I want that story to be told?

I’ve been piecing this vision together slowly for months, and it’s becoming clearer: I want to make a difference. That’s always been my goal, though years of chaotic health sometimes pulled me off track. Moving to my Ghost site was the first step, though at the time I didn’t know exactly what community I wanted to build. This past week, that answer has started to take shape.

What I want is a community of true free thinkers — a space where ideas, growth, and authentic voices can thrive. To support that, I’ve been thinking about expanding my reach on other platforms. I’ve already decided where I won’t be (you won’t find me on TikTok or X), but in time, you will see me branching out elsewhere. For now, petitions will continue to be shared primarily on Facebook.

There’s much more to consider and much more I’ll reveal in time, but the foundation is here. A bigger picture is forming, and with it, a clearer path forward.

✨ Closing

This week has been about trust: trusting my body to adjust, trusting myself to choose what serves me, trusting the process of growth even when it’s uncomfortable.

“I trust my journey, I trust the process.”
