How I’m Transforming My Health with Small Wins and Self-Care

Hello and welcome to another weekly health and goal update!

First off, I want to say a big thank you to my new subscriber. Your support truly means the world to me. I hope you find my posts relatable and that you’ll share them with others who might need encouragement on their own journey.

🦷 Oral Care Victory

This past week I never missed a single day of my oral care routine. The badge tracker I’ve been using helps keep me motivated, but honestly, the biggest motivator has been reframing it as self-care and self-love.

I’m genuinely excited for my upcoming dentist appointment next month. I can’t wait to see their reaction (and maybe a little shock!) at the positive changes I’ve made.

🥤 Practically Soda-Free

My soda reduction journey is going amazingly well. Compared to the week before, I only had two soda days. After crunching the numbers, I can officially say I’ve reached “practically soda-free” status.

As long as I stick to my personal goal—no more than 3 soda days a week and less than 48 oz each time—I know my gut health will thank me. Eventually, I’d love to cut it down to just an occasional treat, but for now, I’m celebrating this milestone.

🌱 Values-Based Shopping

I’ve also been preparing for next month’s supplement shopping. I’ve made sure the items I’m buying align with my personal values: American-made, eco-friendly, natural, sustainable, and small business whenever possible.

It isn’t always easy to check all those boxes, but I’ve done a pretty good job focusing on the most important ones—supporting American-made, eco-conscious, and natural products. It feels good knowing I’m caring for myself and making choices that support my country and the planet.

🌑 Shadow Work Attempt

Last week I tried diving deeper into shadow work. I read a digital book, screenshot pages, typed up reflections, and even tried to compile everything into one editable PDF. Unfortunately, I lost all my work.

At first, it was frustrating—but I chose to see it as the universe’s way of telling me that wasn’t the right resource for me. Still, I’ve realized that some of the practices mentioned are already part of my life: choosing more natural foods, meditating daily, cutting back on ultra-processed stuff, and being mindful of how much TV I watch.

The author’s suggestion of drastically reducing TV and porn didn’t quite resonate with me. I believe you don’t need to go to that extreme unless you personally feel called to—it’s about balance and intentionality, not rigid rules.

🌟 Closing Reflections

Overall, this past week felt like a win in terms of goals, progress, energy, and mood. The start of this week has been a little slower energy-wise (which is why this post didn’t go up super early), but hey—it’s Monday, just as promised. 😂

As for Wednesday’s post, I’m still deciding. One idea is to revisit the topic of vibrational energy and how it shapes our reality. Stay tuned.
