Make a Change

Earlier this week I touched on the topic of love and respect in the LGBTQ+ Community. I want to revisit that subject that in order for things to get better changes have to be made. Changes start with one person at a time and spreading the message of change and acting on this message till changes occur. This message was first introduced by YouTubers Austin and Nicolay in their YouTube video We Want To Change Something.

Again whether you watch it or not it is entirely up to you but I have to say I was inspired by it. Earlier this week I mentioned how maybe just maybe that some people aren't afraid to come out because of the straight community, but maybe because of the LGBTQ+ community. There is no real way to see who is ally and who isn't and for someone either struggling with their feelings or know what they feel but aren't sure how to deal with it themselves talking about it makes a difference.

Sadly, how can you talk about it if no one is there for you to open up and if you do open up there is fear of hatred, disgust, abandonment, and other horrible feelings? This is why there needs to be a change a hashtag or something that can define those who have already came out whether it was a good or bad experience. Then something for our allies letting others know that it is ok to talk to them about how you feel without prejudice or judgement.  There needs to be more love, respect, and ways for others to open up to each other and help each other out instead of tearing each other down.
