Hello, it has been a while, and I feel it's time for an update on life. My health this year has been my main concern and a work in progress. This may or may not be a long post.
For those who have been following my posts, I previously mentioned being put on a new prescription, Farxiga. It has been a while, and my most recent A1C dropped from 7.9 to 7.6. My daily readings have been in range almost 80% of the time.
With taking the new prescription, I've lost weight. It is still over 350, but it is a work in progress. Since moving back to Missouri, I've lost a total of 46.6 lbs in a year and a half. I'm thrilled each time I see it drop. While I am more active than I was two years ago, my activity level could improve.
My mental health has been stable, and depression has been minimal. I won't say it's gone because I still have days that I'm blue, but there are other factors that play into it. Fibromyalgia being one of them. Missouri weather compared to Texas weather hasn't been the greatest for me. But I'm surviving and dealing with it the best I can.
As far as what I've been up to, I'll say it hasn't been much. I've been caught up on my shows and cried when some have ended this year. Started some new shows and either completed them or caught up and am waiting for new episodes to air. While I do have a list of books and stuff to read and youtube videos to watch, I've been spending my time vegging or spending it with what family I have. Mostly, the things to read and watch are for learning purposes. I desperately want to work but struggle due to fibromyalgia. Trying to find a job or create a business that I can use my skills, knowledge, and / or gifts has been a challenge. While books make it sound easy to do, putting it into practice is a little more challenging. But in the meantime, learning and thinking and waiting are all part of the process.
