Respect and Love

Awhile back, oh say at the beginning of this month I watched some of my favorite YouTubers and there were some messages that really struck a chord in me. Arielle Scarcella made a video called Dear LGBT Youth, Love Your Elders

Whether you watch the video or not it is up to you but there is a powerful message there. There will be a powerful message here too. NO matter what your gender or sexuality is there should be LOVE. Arielle is saying to love your elders but what I got out of it is we need to love each other.

The LGBTQ+ community say they want equal rights, they want to live in peace with the rest of the world, and to be treated like an equal in the straight community. However, there is but one problem that stands in our way, in the way of the LGBTQ+ community of achieving equality. That problem is US, we are the problem by the way we treat each other. We don't respect one another, love one another, or treat one another like equals. So, when the outsiders look in do you really expect them to treat you with respect? To treat you with love and understanding?

It could be that some may fear of coming out not because of the straight community but because of how the LGBTQ+ community treats each other. Which this brings me to another point and topic which I will post about later this week.
